She also co-sponsored a bill helping millions of Americans refinance their student loan debt.

When Republicans tried to privatize and cut social security benefits, Tina co-sponsored the Protecting and Preserving Social Security Act. This bill ensured social security benefits were protected for the many retired seniors who rely on it, and reflected the increasing costs faced by seniors.

TINA WORKED TO IMPROVE HEALTHCARE AFFORDABILITY
Tina took on large pharmaceutical companies to ensure they were held accountable for price gouging. She believes that life-saving medication should be affordable to all Americans and introduced the Affordable Medications Act increasing transparency of drug company spending and allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

TINA EXPANDED VETERAN PROTECTIONS
Tina fought to improve health care and benefits for veterans. She worked to end the Veterans Affairs backlog, ensuring veterans received the medical treatment they needed in a timely manner. She also worked across the aisle to pass a bill to support veterans exposed to harmful radiation, and helped increase funding to staff veteran homes in Minnesota.
