Hillary will fight for Michigan seniors to ensure they are awarded the benefits they paid into over a lifetime of hard work. In Congress, she’s committed to stopping the privatization, and any efforts to cut Social Security benefits. She’ll also fight to strengthen Medicare benefits, giving Medicare the power to negotiate prescription drug prices, and halting efforts to turn Medicare into an unfair voucher system.

Hillary will prioritize lowering the cost of health care, as she’s seen firsthand how rising costs have financially crippled hardworking families. She’ll fight in Congress to hold insurance companies accountable, so that the cost of care doesn’t rise as people get sick, individuals with preexisting conditions aren’t discriminated against, and that insurance companies are prevented from offering hollow plans with low coverage. She’ll also fight to lower the cost of prescription drugs, so that those who need life-saving medications aren’t faced with poverty.

As politicians in Washington attempt to divert resources in Michigan to for-profit schools, Hillary is committed to fighting back. As the daughter of a public school teacher, Hillary has seen firsthand the importance of ensuring all children have access to a quality public education, no matter where they live. She’ll fight to ensure teachers are paid fairly and all schools have the resources they need for students to succeed.
