WHY VOTE MALONEY FOR CONGRESS?
HE’S FIGHTING TO PROTECT SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE
Sean understands that many retired seniors rely on the Social Security and Medicare benefits promised to them upon retirement. He’s dedicated to protecting these benefits from budget cuts, privatization, and efforts to raise the retirement age. He also has a plan to expand Social Security, so that the current loophole that lets the wealthy pay less in taxes is eliminated. Sean will fight to ensure seniors can retire with dignity and support.
HE’S DEDICATED TO EXPANDING EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Sean Maloney has a track record of fighting to expand education opportunities in his community. As a State Representative, he secured over $2 million in funding for low-income elementary and high schools in his district. He is an advocate for ensuring all students have access to a quality education regardless of where they live. He also is a proponent of making secondary education more affordable and will fight for legislation that lowers the cost of student loans.
HE HAS A PLAN TO GROW THE ECONOMY AFTER COVID-19
As a business owner, Sean has the experience it takes to grow the economy and get people back to work after COVID-19. He understands the importance of supporting industries, like the manufacturing industry, that employ thousands of workers in America. As a State Representative, Sean cosponsored the Made In America Act, which provided the manufacturing industry in New York with low interest loans to build new facilities, implement worker training programs, and upgrade equipment. He’s dedicated to thinking of creative solutions to expand the economy and increase job opportunities for communities reeling from the effects of coronavirus.
Sean Maloney has dedicated his career to fighting for hardworking New York families. He isn’t afraid to stand up for residents of the 18th District. That’s why the UAW endorses Sean Maloney for Congress.
