JOSH HICKS

FOR U.S. CONGRESS

Josh Hicks was born and raised in Kentucky. As a Marine veteran, small business owner, and dad, he has the work ethic and grit it takes to make effective change in Washington. He shares our UAW values, and isn’t afraid to stand up for hardworking Kentucky families.

WHY VOTE HICKS FOR CONGRESS?

ONE

HE’LL INCREASE HEALTH CARE AFFORDABILITY

Josh understands how unaffordable health care is for many Americans and Kentuckians in his district. He’ll fight to increase health care affordability by ensuring programs like Medicaid and Medicare are funded and accessible to all who need them. He’ll ensure that individuals with preexisting conditions aren’t discriminated against, and can afford reasonable care. He’ll also fight to lower the cost of prescription drugs by giving Medicare the power to negotiate with large pharmaceutical companies.

TWO

HE’LL MAKE EDUCATION MORE ACCESSIBLE

As politicians in Washington fight to privatize education and ignore student loan debt, Josh is committed to fighting back. He will work to strengthen public education, so that Kentucky families have access to early childhood education, and a quality K-12 public school option no matter their zip code. He’ll also work on tackling college affordability, so that no matter the path a student takes after graduating High School, they can move forward without facing unmanageable debt.

THREE

HE’LL FIGHT TO STRENGTHEN UNIONS AND WORKER RIGHTS

Josh sees the value in strengthening labor unions so that the voices of workers are listened to. He will fight to stop efforts that take collective bargaining rights away from workers. Effectively ensuring workers have the support they need to fight for the pay, benefits, and working conditions they deserve.

Josh Hicks has dedicated his life to protecting and fighting for hardworking families. He leads with empathy, and isn’t afraid to stand up for residents of the 6th District. That’s why the UAW endorses Josh Hicks for Congress.
