MJ sees the value in expanding access and funding to all forms of education, but believes there should be more than one path to success. She will advocate to ensure adequate funding is allocated to vocational training programs, ensuring students in trade school programs have the access and financial support they need.

In 2017, when tax cuts were proposed for the wealthiest Americans and largest corporations, MJ fought back. She opposed these cuts that threatened to hurt hardworking families struggling to make ends meet.

As a veteran herself, MJ saw firsthand how veterans struggled to transition back to everyday life after they served. She will champion efforts to increase veteran supports – from ensuring housing assistance and quality health care to providing help to jumpstart new careers and businesses.
