RITA HART

FOR U.S. CONGRESS

Rita Hart was born and raised in Iowa. As a farmer and a teacher for over 20 years, she’s dedicated her life to supporting and educating her community. She shares our values, and isn’t afraid to stand up for hardworking UAW families.

WHY VOTE HART FOR CONGRESS?

ONE

SHE’S DEDICATED TO MAKING HEALTH CARE AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE

Ensuring health care is a right, not just accessible for those who can afford it, hits close to home for Rita. She’s committed to fighting for legislation that ensures all Iowans have access to quality, affordable health care. She’ll fight to reduce the cost of prescription drugs, improve access to mental health care, and protect coverage for individuals with pre-existing conditions.

TWO

SHE’LL FIGHT TO SUPPORT WORKING FAMILIES AFFECTED BY COVID-19

Rita has dedicated her career to creating job opportunities in Iowa. She founded the Clinton County Economic Development Coordinating Council that helped support Iowan mayors as they created economic growth across their communities. With working families facing new challenges due to COVID-19, Rita is committed to using her expertise to help families facing job loss or cut hours get back on their feet. She’ll implement strategies that give Iowans access to affordable skilled trade education, increase the minimum wage and offer affordable childcare to all working families.

THREE

SHE’LL INVEST IN EDUCATION REFORM

As a teacher for over 20 years, Rita has direct knowledge of what Iowa schools and educators need to thrive. She’s dedicated to reforming Iowa’s education system so that all children have equal resources, no matter their zip code. She’ll fight to invest in early childhood education, and will work with educators to find new ways to assess students and support Iowa schools.

Rita Hart is a champion for working Iowa families. She’s not afraid to stand up for residents of the 2nd District. That’s why the UAW endorses Rita Hart for Congress.
