Stephen Daniel was born and raised in north Texas. As an attorney, he has a track record of fighting for the rights of the most vulnerable members of his community. He has the work ethic and tenacity it takes to make effective change in Washington. He shares our values, and isn’t afraid to stand up for hardworking UAW families.
WHY VOTE DANIEL FOR CONGRESS?
HE’S FIGHTING FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM
Stephen believes that health care is a right, not a privilege for those who can afford it. He will fight to ensure that our healthcare system is reformed, so working families are no longer faced with the challenge of affording their prescriptions and medical bills, or facing financial hardship. He’s dedicated to ensuring individuals with preexisting conditions are protected from descrimination, and alternative coverage options are offered to all Americans who need them.
HE’S SUPPORTING HIS COMMUNITY DURING COVID-19
As his north Texas community has been negatively impacted by COVID-19, Stephen has fought back. He has ensured his community has access to the resources and services they need to get through the crisis. He also has prepared a plan to get Texans back on their feet, by extending unemployment benefits, strengthening paid family sick leave and supporting small businesses with PPP loans.
HE’S PROTECTING MEDICARE AND SOCIAL SECURITY
Stephen Daniel understands that Medicare and Social Security benefits are sacred promises to retiring seniors. He’s dedicated to fighting against any attempts to cut or privatize these programs, to ensure seniors are granted the resources they deserve. He will also fight to grant the option for individuals to buy into Medicare, granting them the coverage they need for life-saving prescription drugs and medical treatment.
Stephen Daniel has dedicated his career to fighting for hardworking Texas families. He isn’t afraid to stand up for residents of the 6th District. That’s why the UAW endorses Stephen Daniel for Congress.
